Stressful times but good times.

I know it has been a while since I last posted but our lives have been hectic. My husband lost his job about 2 months ago and hasn't been able to find another job yet. Squirt has had a mild ear infection and a nasty diaper rash that at times would bleed. And I have not been feeling so well lately. We have been hit with some financial issues but we are working through them.

On a lighter note on April 23rd I got to go see WICKED the musical. It was amazing. I had a blast. Oh and yes Elisha I did finally buy the actual Broadway cast recording. It makes me happy. Katie Rose Clark (who played Glinda, the good witch) was amazing, funny, and inspiring. And Donna Vivino (as Elphaba, the wicked witch) they were an amazing duo. I could definitely see that show at least 5 more times and not be disappointed.

All is going well with the baby. Squirt has now made it a nightly ritual to give the baby a kiss and a hug... yes he hugs and kisses my tummy. It is the cutest thing. At our last ultrasound we finally got a good look at his face and know now that at least he doesn't have a cleft lip. The possibility of a cleft palate is still there but we are grateful that he is still growing, kicking, and moving daily.

We got the chance to go to the zoo on memorial day(thank you mother nature for keeping the rain away). Squirt got to see the elephants, rhino's, birds, bears, zebra's, the pumba's(wart hogs), the monkeys, a big snake and lots more animals. It was so much fun to see his eyes light up as we saw each new animal. Thank you Grandma Rosie for making us go. Squirt even got to ride the "Conservation Carousel" twice(he would have liked to have ride it lots more but we went to the bird show instead). He wasn't to sure about the carousel at first but then quickly fell in love with it. He got to ride on the Wolf the first time then after a little girl got on the wolf the second time it took a little bit of persuasion from dad but he finally decided to ride the Tiger.

We also got the chance to go over to the local duck pond and feed lots of ducks, geese, and pigeons this last week too. Squirt doesn't quite understand why the ducks and birds walk away from you when you walk towards them.

This last few weeks has been a little hard on my mom's sister. She was diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer and they did some surgery and found a spot that was positive for cancer. My aunt is an amazing lady that has always been there for me, especially when my husband and I got engaged, because she had to grill him and ask him lots of questions. I have always seen her as a fighter and I know that she will be able to make it thru this with all of our love and support.

Other than that there is not much to report right now. I will post some pictures hopefully tomorrow or later next week.
