Catching up...

Lots has happened since my last real post.

Squirt is funny, lately we have been telling him that he has to stay where we can see him and so if I go up the stairs to our apartment and he is still at the car with dad he gets very upset and cries/says "Mommy I can't see you, Mommy come back here." He is so funny. He loves our new big place, the playground and the big puddle (you know that thing we all call a swimming pool). He has been on a princess movie kick lately watching movies like Cinderella, Wizard of Oz, Mulan, etc. We are also trying to conquer the potty training issues. (yes I know he is 4) but with his dairy issues we have hit many set backs.

Peanut is getting more and more feisty. When he gets mad you better watch out or he will hit you hard. He also loves to throw things like cereal, toys, etc. His new hobby is throwing them off of our balcony then saying "uh oh". He loves to say uh oh, whoa, wow, dada, and mama. He also wants to have anything his brother has. Lately it has been the little chairs in our house they play a game of steal the chair and it is hilarious (I will try to get a video of it next time).

The hubby and I are both still employed (that's a good thing) and working on trying to do more as a couple and as a family. We also got family pictures done recently. They are awesome. Thanks Lucy.(my moms friend)

I know I am forgetting things but here it is for now. More pictures to come soon.

Grandpa Nuttall

My husbands grandpa passed away last week and today is the funeral. I only ever got to meet Grandpa Nuttall twice but he is an amazing man. He got to meet and play with Squirt but never got to meet Peanut but I know now that he is watching over us and protecting us.

Grandpa Nuttall you are an amazing man, and we will miss you greatly!

Here is the fun part though...we weren't able to go down for the funeral so on Monday I called a florist near by where Grandma Nuttall and Aunt Jane live and ordered a bouquet of flowers with a simple ribbon on it that says Love your great grandsons. We didn't tell any one about this except for Aunt Jane, not even my in-laws that left on Monday.

We were asked to write memories about Grandpa and send them to my husbands uncle so he can put a book together, and below are our memories.

Most of my memories of grandpa are when we would go out on call to tow a car. How he would let me run the controls to lift the car and things. He would teach me how to tell where to pull the car from and where to hook up the car. I also remember how we could make all the noise in the world and it wouldn’t wake him up, but when the phone rang that was the business he would be up in an instant and ready to go to work.

Love you,
Seth

Grandpa Nuttall,
I have only met you twice but in those two short visits I learned a lot from you. You were always a man of honor and respect. You always had a story to tell, and loved to be around the kids. I know that your spirit was always strong and you loved the Savior. You are an amazing man and you are greatly missed. Thank you for everything that you have done for our family.

Love you,
Lizzy

Great Grandpa Nuttall,
I only met you twice but you were so nice to play with me even when it was hard for you. My mom and dad show me the pictures of when Great Grandma made a basket ball hoop out of a coat hanger and you kept trying to get me to stand by you to throw the ball in the hoop, but I would go and stand by you until you would let go then I would run up and throw it in the hoop. Thanks for playing cars and blocks with me too. Thanks for playing with me and giving me many hugs. I will miss you.

Love you,
Squirt

Great Grandpa Nuttall,
I never met you in person but I am glad that my mom and dad have pictures of you with my brother so that I can know you through the stories that they will tell me about you.

Love you,
Peanut
New update on our family coming soon.

Where did the time go??

Lots has been happening lately, stresses, kids growing up, buying a new(used) van, and moving into a bigger/better place!

Now to back up... Lots has happened since I posted last...

1- We got hit on Father's day on our way to family dinner, no one was hurt! Squirt had fun telling Grandma Rosie that "The car just got broke, the wheels they just got broke" He had fun running around with Grandpa Rosie while we filled out the police report and called our insurance company. In the end the other guys insurance deemed our car "Totaled" (hence the above mention of getting a new(used) van.

2 - our kids our growing up. Squirt turns 4 tomorrow and Peanut turns 1 next month. Squirt is so excited, so last night we made pink (yes I said pink) cupcakes with Blue frosting (yes that took lots of convincing from me) He has a birthday party with friends at Grandma's tomorrow and E & B are making him a Spiderman cake(thanks E for doing this before your carpel tunnel surgery) Peanut now has 8 teeth and come next week he will be on the toddler side at daycare not the baby side. Peanut loves to eat things that he can feed himself - Cheerios, Fruit Loops, Graham Crackers, Crackers, Puffs. And Guess who can walk now!! Yep Peanut can walk not perfectly yet but he can take many unassisted steps. At Grandma Rosie's he walked from her couch to her TV while eating a Graham Cracker!

3 - we bought a used van - if you need a good used vehicle let me know and I can give you the name of the place we went. They are awesome and when we had battery problems a few days after we bought it they got us a new battery. Thanks E for the referral.

4 - yes we are moving to a huge 3 bedroom apt and it is under $1000.00 a month. We are really blessed right now and are looking forward to moving (it is happening fast but we will make it.) We will miss our current ward and they will miss us as we are leaving them with 2 big holes (my wonderful husband is the executive secretary and I am the 2nd counselor in the primary) but we will be back for Squirt to do the program with his friends in the ward.

5-we got to see my sister-in-law and nieces yesterday for about an hour and Squirt and the Princess had so much fun playing. It was hard leaving for daycare/work.

Pictures of this weekend to come soon.

Lots going on lately...

I know, I know many of you are saying "Finally she is updating her blog" so here it goes.

The last month and a half has been crazy, hard, stressful and fun. Many things have happened...
Peanut has 2 teeth fully in and 4 more trying to come in. He can pull him self to standing on anything and is starting to walk along the furniture and anything else he can hold on to. He is jabbering more and loves to be near his brother when ever he can (Squirt doesn't usually like that) Peanut is also following in his brothers footsteps he has fought about 6 ear infections so far. Here is to hopeing they just go away and he doesn't need tubes too.

Squirt is having lots of fun at Daycare, he loves going to the swings (the playground by our apartment), the Park (the elementary playground that is just down the street) or the Big Park (the city park). We did spend a few hours in the ER on Mothers Day. Squirt climbed up my aunts pool slide and when he was told to climb down, something happened and I was inside when Grandma Rosie told me to go out side because Squirt was flat on his back and my husband was running for him. Luckily he just has a torus fracture near his left wrist. The ER splinted it with an ace bandage and by Tuesday he was trying to pull it off. On Wednesday we went to an Ortho Doctor and he put a cast on it. Squirt got to choose the color and he chose red because that is just like Lightning McQueen. He only has to have it on for 8 more days (2 weeks total)

My Husband woke up almost 4 weeks ago in some serious pain at 2am one morning and little did we know he had a kidney stone. He was in so much pain that we called the Grandma Rosie to come over and we went to the ER. We laugh a lot about that night because I tried to tell him that the pain he was having could be solved with some Ibuprofen and a heating pad. Pain subsided by the next day. Lucky for him that was one of his days off of work.

Life is hard lately, I don't like it when it is hard but I know I am going through this for a reason and I need to learn from it.

Thing that I am grateful for:

1 - My Husband
2 - My Boys
3 - My Family

The much anticipated pictures!!

So the last 3 months have been crazy Peanut has slept for longer times in his own bed. He learned how to sit up on his own in January and was really crawling by the beginning of March. Squirt loves swings and doesn't understand why Grandma and Grandpa Rosie's swings are dirty and he can't go swing on them. As most of you know Squirt has Dairy "Issues" they have tested him for all of the allergy areas that could be involved in and those test all came back as no allergy. So I was worried with Peanut that he would have some issues...he hasn't let me down. Peanut can not have Rice Cereal and we are pretty sure he can't have carrots either. His poor little bum suffers so much, I feel bad, but we live and learn.

Squirt loves the movies "Ariel"(it's not The Little Mermaid it's Ariel) and the movie UP. He has watched them so much lately that he is starting to recite many parts of them. The funniest is in Up when Russell knocks on Mr. Fredricksen's door He can recite both parts until Russell goes to look for the Snipe!

"Russell: Good Afternoon. My name is Russell… and I am a wilderness explorer in Tribe 54, with large 12.Are you in need of any assistance today, sir?
Mr. Fredricksen: No
Russell: I could help you cross the street..
Mr. Fredricksen: No
Russell: I could help you cross your yard?
Mr. Fredricksen: No
Russell: I could help you cross.. your.. porch?
Mr. Fredricksen: No
Russell: Well, I got to help you cross something..
Mr. Fredricksen: No, I am doing fine..
Mr.Fredricksen slams the door and then opens again
Russell: Good Afternoon. My name is Russell… and I am a wilderness explorer in Tribe 54, with large 12. Are you in need of any assistance today, sir?
Mr. Fredricksen: Thank you but I don't need any help
Mr.Fredricksen slams the door and then opens since Russell sticks his leg to prevent him from closing the door
Mr. Fredricksen: Proceed
Russell: Good Afternoon..
Mr.Fredricksen: Well, skip to the end
Russell points to his badges: "See these? These are my wilderness explorer badges. You may notice one is missing. It’s my 'Assisting The Elderly Badge.' If I get it, I’ll become a senior wilderness explorer!" He then makes the letter W with his fingers and says "The wilderness must be explored! KAAARRGGHHH KAHHHH RAARRR!!!!!"

Squirt knows this whole thing! It is hilarious!

Ok so these are some of the recent pictures.

Peanut learned to do this by himself in January - with out anything supporting him.

and when ever I take a picture of Peanut I have to take one of Squirt with him.

They love bath time together they splash lots and play lots - Peanut is always in his seat unless I want a cute picture like this.

He likes to give me weird looks. (like mom seriously you just took my picture lots. do you have to take one more?)

Squirt was giving dad a "Bear Hug"and it was just before bath time note Peanut is not in clothes, when I decided to put Peanut on Squirt. Right after I put him on and was looking for the camera Squirt started throwing a fit!

Peanut loves to eat the toys. That is what he does every bath time. And Squirt loves to fill them up with water and see how close he can squirt them to Peanut before I tell him no.

I always manage to get some of Squirt but if your camera isn't fast (like mine isn't at times) then when you tell him to say cheese you just get weird pictures like this.

"I don't know what happened to the turtle mom! I promise I didn't do it"
More pictures to come soon!!!
